A Little About Sam
I recently began my solo music career out in Colorado at the end of 2016 after my band, The Coordinates, dissolved in Austin, TX. In the last couple months I’ve gotten involved in the music community in Northern Colorado and have been active in gigs at popular venues in the area!
Currently residing just east of Fort Collins and working daily at The Blackbird Coffeehouse along with teaching private lessons.
My music is riddled with lyrics of my own experiences with love, life change, and lessons learned. Largely influenced by John Lennon, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Donovan and many other inspiring artists of the 60’s and 70’s.
As of now, I am continuing my college education in order to pursue a masters in music performance. I worked on my undergraduate at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, as well as the University of Texas in Austin. My short term goals include releasing my first solo ep along with touring the state of Colorado in 2017! I have also been on multiple tours along the East Coast and my last adventure was being a supporting act for the Los Lonely Boys on a tour that landed me at the City Winery in NYC.
Realized in my rootedness as a folk/singer songwriter and a musically educated individual. My primary instrument is nylon string classical guitar but I also have a deep love for expression on the piano. I work relentlessly in honing my craft and hope to achieve virtuosic status as to maintain a living as a touring Americana artist.
